- wget -c (--continue): resume a partially downloaded filewget -c resumes an interrupted download by requesting only the missing bytes with an HTTP Range header. It needs server support; --tries retries on failure.
- wget -N (--timestamping): download only if the remote file is newerwget -N downloads a file only when the server copy is newer or a different size, using Last-Modified and If-Modified-Since. Messages, -O and -nc conflicts.
- wget -O file (--output-document): save the download under another namewget -O NAME saves the download as NAME instead of the URL file name, and -O - writes it to stdout. Capital -O is the output file; lowercase -o is the log.
- wget -U (--user-agent): set or remove the User-Agent headerwget -U sets the User-Agent header instead of Wget/VERSION; -U with an empty string removes it. Syntax, --header override, .wgetrc, 403 errors and robots.txt.
