errcodex is operated from Spain. In line with article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 (LSSI-CE) and the Spanish Data Protection Agency's (AEPD) guide on cookies, we only use non-essential cookies with your consent, rejecting them is as easy as accepting them, you can change your choice at any time, and we ask again after 12 months.
1. What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small data files stored on your device when you visit websites. Local storage (localStorage) is a browser feature that lets a site keep small settings on your device; they are never sent to our servers.
errcodex itself uses only local storage, for your preferences. Pages are static files: there are no accounts, no logins and no session cookies.
2. Items stored on your device
| Name | Type | Duration | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| theme | Technical (localStorage) | Persistent, until you change it | Remembers whether you chose the dark or light theme. |
| code-tab | Technical (localStorage) | Persistent, until you change it | Remembers the tab you picked in code examples with several variants (for example bash or PowerShell). |
3. How to delete cookies and site data in your browser
You can block or delete cookies and site storage at any time in your browser settings:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Apple Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions.
Our Privacy Policy explains your rights, including how to complain to the AEPD.
