- bash: /usr/bin/rm: Argument list too longArgument list too long (E2BIG) means a glob like rm *.log expanded to more arguments than the kernel accepts. Use find -delete, find -exec {} + or xargs.
- cp: -r not specified; omitting directory 'dir'cp prints -r not specified; omitting directory when the source is a directory and -r is missing. Use cp -r, or cp -a to keep permissions and timestamps.
- mkdir: cannot create directory 'dir': File existsmkdir fails with File exists when the path is already there, as a directory or a file. Use mkdir -p to accept an existing directory, or rename the file.
- rm: cannot remove 'dir': Is a directoryrm refuses to delete a directory unless you pass -r. Use rmdir for an empty directory, or rm -r for a directory and its contents after checking what it holds.
- Too many levels of symbolic linksLinux returns ELOOP when a symlink points to itself or to a chain of links that loops. Find the cycle with ls -l or readlink, then repoint or remove the link.
